This installation will overwrite any version of Internet Explorer that you have already installed. If you have Internet Explorer already installed and do not want to loose your current settings, do NOT install this software.
Before installing Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0, close all open Applications. To do this press Ctrl-Alt-Del and end task on all applications in the Close Program list, leaving Explorer and Systray.
We recommend that you do not install the "Windows Desktop Update" at this time. This represents a fundamental change in the way your PC will work. We do not provide support in dealing with the desktop update.
After Installation Issues
After Internet Explorer 4.0 has been installed and your PC has been rebooted, you will have to double click on the Internet Explorer icon to continue the process with the online registration.
Installation Errors
Verify there is sufficient disk space available for the installation of the software. In some cases the Windows95 installation disk may be necessary to install Dailup Networking or TCP/IP protocols. You will be prompted to insert your Windows95 disk to do this.
